
Aaron Motschenbacher is an insurance and civil defense attorney with trial experience. He has litigated cases in the following practice areas: insurance coverage; commercial and personal automobile and trucking liability (including UM/UIM/SIU claims); general/premises liability; products liability; construction defect and construction contract disputes; professional negligence/malpractice; real estate; and business contracts. Prior to co-founding Schellerup & Motschenbacher, P.C., Aaron was a Partner at a larger firm and had direct oversight in defending carriers, individuals, and entities in California and Nevada, primarily dealing with the defense of personal injury matters. Aaron has handled all aspects of defending against such matters, including trials, mandatory binding arbitrations, and appeals. Mr. Motschenbacher was raised in Fremont, California, just outside of San Jose, and graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations. Prior to going to law school, Aaron was a multi-lines claims adjuster for larger insurance carriers and a third-party administrator. In 2009, Aaron received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. While in law school, Aaron was an Associate for the Santa Clara Journal of International Law and was the recipient of an International Law Certificate. Aaron worked for a Tokyo, Japan-based firm handling international trade/contract related matters as well as a firm dedicated to representing clients facilitating international trade between China and the United States (including the handling of non-immigrant business visa applications, petitions, and AAO appeals).
